A short, plain-language policy, because this is a builder's website and not a data business.
What we collect
When you complete a form on this site we collect the information you type into it: your name, phone number, email address, and the details you give us about your project, including your suburb, rough budget and timing where you choose to share them.
Our hosting provider also records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. That is used to keep the site running and secure.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare a quote and carry out work you engage us for. We do not use your details for anything else.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list off the back of an enquiry.
Who can see it
Enquiries go to Edward Whelan at Spoednik Construction. Where a project requires it, relevant details may be shared with subcontractors or suppliers working on your job, and only to the extent needed to do the work.
This site is hosted on Vercel and enquiry emails are delivered by Resend. Both are established service providers who process the data on our behalf.
Third-party content
Some pages embed posts from Instagram. When those embeds load, Meta may set cookies and receive information about your visit under their own privacy policy, which we do not control.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for as long as required for legal, tax and warranty purposes.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update this page. Because it describes how we handle enquiries rather than a complex data operation, changes are expected to be rare.
